A key part of our mission at SHACK15 is building a community that nurtures the whole person— bridging entrepreneurship and innovation with opportunities to socialize and connect, thought-provoking events, and dedicated time for mindfulness and self-care. 

Now, more than ever, it’s crucially important that we are taking time to nourish ourselves with the same level of intent that we dedicate to our work. At a time when many are feeling burnt out and dealing with the anxieties of our world, SHACK15 aims to be a place where you can unwind and take care of you, with mindful practice and chances to connect in a way that restores you.

SHACK15 x Open

Building on that philosophy, we are really excited to expand our virtual event offerings with a new collaborative wellness series, SHACK15 x Open, designed in partnership with Open, the modern mindfulness studio whose meditation, breathwork and movement classes seek to strengthen the mind-body connection and help you find equilibrium.

Open’s innovative approach to wellness combines the best of traditions and technologies, old and new, and blends music, sound, breath, movement, visuals and community to create something wholly new. Their core methodology is paired with an immersive social platform, to make mindfulness achievable for all, on and offline. Open brings together a community of mindfulness and movement practitioners, from all over the world, who lead classes that anchor you in the here and now. They are currently broadcasting live from San Francisco, and soon, Los Angeles as well.

In addition to being a growing community, Open has a first of its kind platform with support from Founders Fund, LVMH, SV Angel and Jack Dorsey, to name a few.

We hosted a few sessions with Open earlier this year and received overwhelmingly positive feedback on just how transformative these classes were. We’re excited to strengthen our partnership and offer bi-weekly sessions for the SHACK15 community, featuring Open’s signature offerings—Breathe, Move and Meditate.

 
 
 
 

Open offerings

BREATHE

Breathe is an immersive sensory experience that amplifies Open’s core methodology. Grounding you in your senses, it brings together music, breathwork, and guided meditation to bring you to the present moment. Designed for all levels. 

Breathe works beyond our popular conceptions of regular meditative practice. Moving, beautiful, experiential, it demonstrates the power of our most everyday activity—breath—to deliver us into new states of mind.


MOVE

Move builds upon Open’s methodology—a blend of music, breathwork, and guided meditation—by adding mindful movement to challenge and restore both body and mind at once. A moving meditative flow for all levels, open to everyone. 

While “yoga” and “meditation” are often spoken of as different practices, done in different studios—their aims are ultimately the same. Move channels yoga’s original purpose as a form of moving meditation, using our bodies as instruments of awareness.


MEDITATE 

Meditate mixes Open’s core methodologies—guided meditation plus light breathwork, all set to music—to restore you to you. Take a pause from the world and find your stillness within. 

Meditate is designed to recenter, reflect, and restore you to you. A session designed to meet you where you are, for all levels.

Join us

We can’t wait to experience Open with you! Join us on Tuesday, October 20, when we kick off this new series with a Breathe class taught by breathwork expert Hailey Lott. Hailey is a remarkable meditation specialist, sound healer, yoga instructor, and vibe creator, who helps people transform their mindsets to find freedom, joy, and contentment in each moment.
